🛠️ API Setup (Important!)

To keep BitButler free and private, he runs on your API keys. Your data stays between you and the provider.

This is the primary engine for BitButler. It offers a generous free tier, but even the paid tier is incredibly affordable. Throughout months of development and heavy testing, I have only racked up a bill of £0.04! It is a highly cost-effective way to run a personal AI.

Support for OpenAI is included but has not been fully tested in v1.3.
Note: OpenAI typically requires a paid subscription/credit balance. The "Free Tier" usually only works if you have an active trial on a brand new account. We strongly suggest using Gemini for the best experience.
